Azerbaijan is expected to experience a significant shift in weather conditions on February 11, with sleet and snow forecast for various regions across the country.

According to information provided by the National Hydrometeorological Service to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Baku and the Absheron Peninsula will see intermittent precipitation, with sleet and snow likely in some areas during the night and early morning hours. A north-east wind is expected to transition to a south-east wind during the day. The temperature in the capital will range from 1°C below zero to 2°C above zero at night, reaching 2-5°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure will drop from 767 mm Hg to 762 mm Hg, with relative humidity staying between 70-80%.

In the regions of Azerbaijan, weather conditions are also expected to be unstable with snow forecast in several districts. The precipitation may be intense in specific locations, accompanied by occasional fog and a moderate west wind. Temperatures in the lowlands will fluctuate between 2°C below zero and 2°C above zero at night, and 3-6°C during the day. In the mountainous areas, more severe conditions are expected, with temperatures dropping to 5-10°C below zero at night, and as low as 10-15°C below zero in high-altitude zones.

Authorities have issued a specific warning to drivers, noting that icy road conditions are highly probable on suburban roads and mountain passes during the night and morning hours. The National Hydrometeorological Service advises motorists to exercise caution and ensure vehicles are equipped for wintry conditions to prevent accidents. Such weather patterns are typical for February in Azerbaijan, as the country often experiences brief periods of sub-zero temperatures and snowfall before the transition to spring.
