Zaxarova: Qərb texnologiya transferini təsir alətinə çevirə bilər

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has warned that Western nations could use information technology transfer mechanisms as a tool of influence to acquire natural resources from developing countries.

Speaking at the International Security Forum, Zakharova stated that IT technologies are often transferred to developing nations under the guise of charity, while resource contracts are simultaneously concluded under harsh and dependent terms, Operative Information Center-OMM reports.

The diplomat added that the finished IT products provided through this process increase these countries' dependency on the West, potentially forcing them to yield control over their natural resources in exchange for technological integration.

The International Security Forum is being held from May 26 to 29 in the Moscow region under the auspices of the Russian Security Council. The event serves as a platform for discussing global security challenges, cyber security, and geopolitical stability, highlighting Moscow's ongoing efforts to address international security dynamics outside Western-dominated frameworks.
