A laboratory complex and vivarium meeting high biosafety requirements will be established in Azerbaijan.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the initiative is included in the “2027–2032 State Program on Ensuring Food Safety,” approved by President Ilham Aliyev.
Under the document, the Food Safety Agency, the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, and the ministries of agriculture and economy have been tasked with establishing the complex.
A vivarium is a specialized facility where living organisms are kept and observed under controlled conditions. Such facilities support scientific research, laboratory testing and the development of measures to prevent and control infectious diseases.
