Weather conditions in Azerbaijan are expected to remain primarily rainless on January 22, according to the latest national forecast.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the National Hydrometeorological Service has issued a statement regarding the upcoming atmospheric conditions. In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the weather will be changeably cloudy and occasionally gloomy, but dry conditions will prevail throughout the day. A south-west wind is expected to dominate the coastal region.

The temperature in the capital will range from 0–3 degrees Celsius below zero at night to 5–8 degrees Celsius during the day. Atmospheric pressure is projected to drop from 770 mm Hg to 763 mm Hg, while relative humidity will fluctuate between 80–85 percent at night and 55–65 percent during the day. Authorities warn of potential icing on roads during the night and early morning hours.

In the regions of Azerbaijan, the weather is also expected to be mostly dry. Fog is anticipated in various areas, accompanied by a moderate west wind. Temperatures in the lowlands will range from 3–7 degrees Celsius below zero at night to 4–7 degrees Celsius during the day. In mountainous areas, temperatures will drop to 5–10 degrees Celsius below zero, reaching as low as 17–22 degrees Celsius below zero in high-altitude zones, with daytime temperatures staying between 2–6 degrees Celsius below zero.

The National Hydrometeorological Service, an agency under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, regularly monitors and provides updates on the country's climate patterns to ensure public safety and operational readiness for transport and infrastructure sectors. Forecasters advise drivers to exercise caution across the country due to the high probability of icy road conditions during the early hours of the day.
