A Pakistan Army Aviation Mi-17 helicopter has crashed, resulting in the deaths of all personnel on board.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the "DAWN" newspaper, the incident was confirmed by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) wing of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
The crash occurred on June 10 near Muzaffarabad. Preliminary assessments indicate that the helicopter experienced a technical malfunction during takeoff, which led to the fatal accident.
"All individuals on board have perished. There are no survivors," the official statement confirmed. Authorities are currently conducting an investigation to determine the specific circumstances surrounding the crash.
The Mi-17, a Soviet-designed military transport helicopter, is widely utilized by the Pakistan Army for logistics, troop transport, and search and rescue operations across the country's diverse and often challenging mountainous terrain.
