A fire broke out on the territory of Prison No. 6 of the Ministry of Justice's Penitentiary Service in Azerbaijan. According to a joint statement from the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the incident was quickly brought under control.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that forces from the State Fire Protection and Special Risky Rescue Services of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were immediately dispatched to the scene. The fire was fully extinguished within a short period, and officials confirmed that there were no injuries or casualties resulting from the incident.
The Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice stated that necessary steps are being taken to strengthen security measures and ensure the full safety of both the inmates and the staff. An investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway.
