Azerbaijan is located in a seismically active zone, specifically within the Alpine-Himalayan belt, which frequently experiences varying degrees of seismic activity. The Republican Seismic Survey Center continuously monitors these geological movements across the country to ensure public safety and provide accurate data on tectonic shifts. While minor tremors are relatively common in the region, the center maintains a network of monitoring stations to track and analyze seismic data in real-time.
