Traffic police officers in the Binagadi district of Baku signaled a Hyundai vehicle, license plate 99-QP-750, to stop after it was identified as being wanted.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Baku City State Traffic Police Department issued a statement regarding the incident.
Authorities reported that the 24-year-old driver, Sabir Aliyev, was operating a vehicle with unauthorized structural modifications. He was subject to detention and the vehicle was ordered to be impounded due to outstanding unpaid fines. Upon being stopped, Aliyev refused to comply with the lawful demands of the police officers.
Law enforcement officials successfully neutralized the driver's non-compliant actions and transported him to the local police station for further processing. Legal measures are currently being taken against the driver in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In Azerbaijan, traffic enforcement is strictly regulated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Drivers are legally obligated to comply with all traffic police directives, and failure to do so, or operating vehicles with unauthorized modifications, can result in administrative penalties, vehicle impoundment, or further legal action depending on the severity of the violation.
