Heavy traffic congestion has been reported on several major highways and arterial roads in Baku. Drivers are currently being advised to utilize alternative routes to avoid significant delays in the capital.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Intellectual Transport Management Center (ITMC) has released an operational update regarding the current situation on the city's road network. According to the center's statement, traffic density is particularly high in the following directions: the Baku–Sumgait highway toward the "20 January" metro station, Ali Mustafayev Street toward Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, and Ziya Bunyadov Avenue from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street toward the "20 January" metro station. Congestion is also observed on Binagadi highway toward "Azadlig Avenue" metro station, the 1st Lake Shore road toward Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, and the Airport highway toward the "Koroghlu" metro station.

Furthermore, delays are reported on Yusif Safarov Street toward the city center, Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue, Tbilisi Avenue from the "20 January" metro station toward the center, Mikayil Mushfig Street from the "Badamdar" circle toward School-Lyceum No. 20, 8 November Avenue from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street toward the center, and Abdulvahab Salamzade Street toward Ziya Bunyadov Avenue. The ITMC urges drivers to consider the current road conditions in advance, prioritize the use of public transport, and bypass congested areas where possible.

Traffic management in Baku is overseen by the Intellectual Transport Management Center, which utilizes advanced monitoring systems to regulate the flow of vehicles in the capital of Azerbaijan. Rapid urbanization and the increasing number of private vehicles often lead to peak-hour density on these primary routes, which serve as critical links between the city center and suburban residential areas.
