A new draft law titled "On Climate" has been officially submitted for public discussion, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan.
As reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, the draft legislation has been published in the "Announcements" section of the Ministry's official website, eco.gov.az, to ensure transparency and facilitate public engagement.
Civil society institutions, industry experts, legal entities, and individual citizens are invited to review the document. Feedback, comments, and proposals regarding the draft law can be submitted to [email protected] until September 20, 2026.
This legislative initiative is part of Azerbaijan's broader commitment to international environmental standards and its strategic efforts to mitigate the impacts of global climate change.
