The electronic transfer process for students for the second half of the 2025-2026 academic year has officially commenced in Azerbaijan.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the process covers both pre-school preparation groups and grades 1-10. Applications are being accepted in electronic format through the official www.sy.edu.az portal.
According to the established regulations, the transfer of students in the 11th grade will no longer be permitted starting today. Furthermore, considering the limited time remaining before final graduation exams, the transfer process for 9th-grade students will be suspended on March 5 at 18:00 and will remain inactive until the end of the current academic year.
The electronic student transfer system in Azerbaijan was introduced to ensure transparency and efficiency in the management of the student population across the country's educational institutions. Managed by the Ministry of Science and Education, the sy.edu.az portal allows parents and legal guardians to change a student's school or class without the need for physical documentation, streamlining the administrative transition between educational facilities in Baku and the regions.
