US Vice President J.D. Vance has described himself as a "sort of conspiracy theorist" regarding the case of financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing "MS NOW," that the Vice President addressed questions surrounding the release of confidential documents related to the Epstein investigation.
Responding to a recent The New York Times article that labeled him a "conspiracy theorist" for his views on the matter, Vance defended his position. "To be honest, I am a sort of conspiracy theorist. It is madness that this man, who was a pedophile, spent time with a bunch of very wealthy and powerful people," the Vice President stated.
Vance emphasized that he has personally participated in meetings concerning the Epstein case and advocates for maximum transparency. He firmly rejected allegations that the White House is intentionally withholding evidence. According to the Vice President, the documents that remain undisclosed are primarily tied to ongoing judicial processes and cannot be released without court authorization.
Furthermore, Vance clarified the stance of US President Donald Trump regarding the late financier. He noted that US President Donald Trump severed ties with Epstein years ago, banned him from his private club, and reported the individual to law enforcement authorities.
The Jeffrey Epstein case remains a subject of intense public and political scrutiny in the United States. Epstein, a convicted sex offender, was found dead in his jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges. The subsequent investigation into his network of associates has led to widespread calls for the declassification of court documents, which many believe could implicate numerous high-profile figures in illicit activities.
