Türkiyə Ukrayna münaqişəsində vasitəçi olmağa hazırdır

"Türkiye is ready to mediate in the resolution of the Ukraine conflict or provide a platform for negotiations," Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated during his recent discussions with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Minister Fidan emphasized Ankara's ongoing commitment to de-escalation. "I would like to touch upon the Ukraine conflict. I want to reiterate that Türkiye is ready to do everything in its power, including acting as a mediator," he noted.

Fidan warned that the current instability and potential for escalation could lead to a further intensification of the war. "Therefore, it is necessary to do everything possible to put an end to it," he added.

Türkiye has consistently positioned itself as a key diplomatic broker since the onset of the conflict in February 2022. Ankara previously hosted high-level peace talks in Istanbul and played a pivotal role in the Black Sea Grain Initiative, which facilitated the safe export of Ukrainian agricultural products. By maintaining open lines of communication with both Kyiv and Moscow, Türkiye continues to advocate for a diplomatic solution to the ongoing regional crisis.
