Temperatures in Azerbaijan are expected to rise significantly on April 1, with Baku reaching 21°C and regional areas hitting 25°C.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the National Hydrometeorological Service has released the official weather forecast for the start of the month.
In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the weather is expected to be changeably cloudy and occasionally gloomy, but primarily rainless. However, there is a possibility of short-term rain in some areas during the night and evening hours. Fog may occur in certain locations during the morning and night, accompanied by a south-easterly wind. The temperature in the capital will range between 10-12°C at night and 16-21°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure will rise from 759 mm to 763 mm Hg, with relative humidity staying between 75-85%.
In the regions of Azerbaijan, the weather will be mostly dry, though brief precipitation is likely in some mountainous districts during the day. Moderate western winds are expected, with occasional fog in various areas. Temperatures in the lowlands will be 7-12°C at night and 20-25°C during the day. In the mountains, temperatures will fluctuate between 0-5°C at night and 10-15°C during the day, reaching up to 18°C in specific locations.
The National Hydrometeorological Service, an agency under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, regularly monitors atmospheric conditions across the Republic of Azerbaijan. Such temperature increases in early spring are characteristic of the transition to the warmer season, often influenced by southern air masses entering the South Caucasus region.
