The average monthly temperature in Azerbaijan for April is expected to remain largely within the seasonal climate norms, according to the latest forecast from the National Hydrometeorological Service.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reported that while temperatures will align with historical averages, monthly precipitation levels are anticipated to be near the norm, with some regions potentially seeing slightly higher rainfall than usual.
In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the average monthly temperature is projected to be between 11-13°C. Nighttime temperatures will range from 8-13°C, while daytime temperatures will typically hover between 13-18°C, reaching up to 21-26°C on certain days. Precipitation in the capital is expected to be near or slightly above the norm of 23-33 mm.
In Nakhchivan, temperatures are forecast at 11-14°C, with daytime highs potentially reaching 27°C. Similar trends are expected in the regions of Ganja, Gazax, and the central lowlands, where temperatures in areas such as Mingachevir, Shirvan, and Sabirabad may climb as high as 28°C during peak days.
In the liberated territories, including Khankendi, Shusha, Aghdam, and the regions of East Zangazur such as Jabrayil, Kalbajar, Qubadli, Lachin, and Zangilan, temperatures will range between 6-13°C on average. Daytime temperatures in these mountainous and foothill areas are expected to fluctuate between 14-24°C, with precipitation levels generally staying within the seasonal norm.
The National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan regularly monitors atmospheric conditions to provide accurate climate data essential for agriculture, transport, and public safety. April in Azerbaijan typically marks the transition to more stable spring weather, though the country's diverse topography—ranging from high mountain ranges to low-lying plains—results in significant microclimate variations across the Republic.
