Şuşada layihələr milli irsə uyğun icra olunur - Rəsmi açıqlama

All development projects in Shusha are being implemented in strict accordance with national heritage preservation standards and requirements, according to Aydin Karimov, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Shusha district.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Karimov made these remarks during the 13th session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13). Speaking at an event titled "Rebuilding Urbanization - How Azerbaijan Created an Innovation Lab for Urban Transformation?", the official emphasized that the city's unique architectural style remains a priority. "If you visit our residential complex in Shusha, you can observe that unique and local natural stones are used on the facades of the buildings, resulting in a very interesting appearance," Karimov stated.

Shusha, often referred to as the cultural capital of Azerbaijan and the pearl of Garabagh, is currently undergoing a massive reconstruction phase following its liberation in 2020. The Azerbaijani government has prioritized the restoration of historical monuments, mosques, and museums alongside modern residential infrastructure. The city's designation as the "Cultural Capital of the Islamic World" for 2024 further highlights its significance in the region's urban and cultural landscape, as Baku continues to integrate sustainable urban planning with historical preservation in the liberated territories.
