The Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) has officially commended Azerbaijan for its active and constructive role as the organization's chair. This acknowledgment underscores the growing influence of Azerbaijan in regional diplomatic frameworks.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Secretariat shared this assessment via a statement on the social media platform X. In the same message, the Secretariat extended its congratulations to Azerbaijan on the occasion of Independence Day, wishing the people of the country peace, prosperity, and well-being.
"We highly value the active and forward-looking role of Azerbaijan as the CICA chair. Under Azerbaijan's leadership, efforts toward institutional development and preparations for the upcoming CICA summit in Baku continue, playing a vital role in strengthening trust, partnership, and cooperation in the region," the statement noted.
CICA is an intergovernmental forum aimed at strengthening cooperation to promote peace, security, and stability in Asia. Azerbaijan, which holds the chairmanship, has been actively utilizing this platform to advance regional connectivity and diplomatic dialogue, with the upcoming summit in Baku expected to be a pivotal event for the organization's future agenda.
