The 18th round of the Misli Premier League continued on Saturday, with Sabah and Shamakhi securing important victories in their respective matches.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the matches scheduled for the second game day have concluded. In the first match of the day, Shamakhi faced Kapaz in Yevlakh, securing a 2-0 victory. This win brings Shamakhi's total to 23 points, moving them up to 7th place, while the Ganja-based club remains in 11th place with 12 points.
In the second match, Zira hosted league leaders Sabah at the Zira Sports Complex. The match ended in a 3-1 victory for Sabah, allowing the team to strengthen its lead at the top of the table with 43 points. Goals for Sabah were scored by Veljko Simic (10'), Ivan Lepinjica (22'), and Khayal Aliyev (27'), while Davit Volkov scored a late consolation goal for Zira in the 83rd minute. While the Masazir representative has not dropped points in the last six rounds, Rashad Sadygov's Zira side has now gone four matches without a win, sitting in 5th place with 29 points.
