A shipment of goods from Russia, destined for Armenia, is currently being transported through the territory of Azerbaijan. According to the Azerbaijan Railways (ADY), a cargo consisting of four railcars carrying 280 tons of wheat and four railcars carrying 277 tons of fertilizer has been dispatched from the Bilejeri station toward the Boyuk Kesik direction.
The Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Azerbaijan Railways (ADY), confirmed that this transit operation is part of ongoing logistics arrangements facilitating the movement of goods from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijani infrastructure.
To date, the transit route through Azerbaijan has facilitated the delivery of over 28,000 tons of grain, more than 4,000 tons of fertilizer, 133 tons of aluminum, and 68 tons of buckwheat from Russia to Armenia. In addition to transit operations, Azerbaijan also exports petroleum products to Armenia, including over 10,000 tons of diesel fuel, 979 tons of AI-92 gasoline, and 2,955 tons of AI-95 gasoline. These logistics highlight the role of Azerbaijani transport corridors in regional trade connectivity.
