The Russian Armed Forces launched a series of large-scale strikes against military infrastructure across Ukraine overnight.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the operation utilized high-precision, long-range sea, air, and ground-based weaponry, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The strikes targeted military airfields, defense industry facilities, military telecommunications hubs, and logistics centers located in Kyiv and Lviv, as well as the Ivano-Frankivsk, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Vinnytsia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The ministry stated that these facilities were utilized for the production, storage, and transport of missile systems and UAVs, as well as the management of airspace control systems.
Furthermore, the report indicated that a dry cargo ship located at the Yuzhny port was neutralized during the attacks, alongside two additional vessels allegedly transporting weapons and military equipment in the eastern and southern directions of the Odesa region.
This escalation marks a continuation of the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which has significantly impacted regional security and global supply chains since its intensification in February 2022. International observers continue to monitor the situation closely as both sides maintain high levels of military activity.
