İranda 1128 saatlıq kəsinti: Dünyada qeydə alınan ən uzun fasilə

Iran has experienced the world's longest recorded nationwide internet outage, with connectivity remaining virtually inaccessible for more than 47 consecutive days, according to data from the international monitoring service NetBlocks.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that a statement released on the X platform confirms the disruption has entered its 48th day, surpassing a total of 1,128 hours of continuous downtime. This unprecedented event is being classified as the most extensive country-scale internet blockage ever documented globally.

The situation in Iran highlights a growing trend of digital restrictions used as a tool for information control. Historically, such large-scale shutdowns are often implemented during periods of civil unrest or political instability to limit communication and the flow of information. This record-breaking outage in the neighboring country has drawn significant attention from international digital rights advocacy groups, who emphasize the severe impact of such disruptions on the economy, education, and the fundamental right to access information.
