More than 19 residents are currently operating in the industrial parks located in Garabagh and East Zangilan.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Vahid Hajiyev, the Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in Jabrayil, Qubadli, and Zangilan districts, made this statement during an event titled "From Urbicide to Revival: Sustainable Reconstruction, Resettlement, and Development in the Liberated Territories of Azerbaijan," held in Baku as part of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).

According to the Special Representative, these industrial parks are evolving into vital logistics, industrial, and trade hubs for the region. "They create new jobs and support long-term economic growth. Furthermore, green energy is one of the rapidly developing key sectors in the region. As you know, President Ilham Aliyev has declared this territory a 'green zone,' and we are utilizing all possible opportunities in this direction," Hajiyev noted.

The Special Representative further highlighted that a foreign company is currently investing in a 240-megawatt solar power plant in Jabrayil. "Two other companies are implementing projects totaling approximately 100 megawatts. Thus, a large volume of energy production is being formed in the region, which is sufficient to supply all of Garabagh, with the surplus available for export," he added.

The establishment of industrial parks in the liberated territories is a cornerstone of Azerbaijan's "Great Return" program, aimed at the sustainable economic reintegration of these lands. By offering tax exemptions and customs privileges to residents, the government of Azerbaijan seeks to attract both local and foreign investment to transform the region into a modern economic engine. These initiatives align with the national priority of transitioning to a green economy, leveraging the high solar and wind energy potential of the liberated districts.
