Weather conditions in Azerbaijan are expected to remain primarily dry on February 7, according to the latest national forecasts.
The National Hydrometeorological Service told Operative Information Center-OMM that Baku and the Absheron Peninsula will experience changeable cloudy skies. While mostly rainless, weak drizzle is possible in some areas during the night. South-west winds are expected to intensify periodically throughout the day. The temperature in the capital will range from 4–6°C at night to 8–11°C during the day, while atmospheric pressure is projected to drop sharply from 764 mm to 754 mm Hg.
In the regions of Azerbaijan, the weather will also be predominantly dry, though fog may be observed in various locations. A moderate western wind will prevail across the country. Regional temperatures are forecast at 0–5°C at night and 8–13°C during the day. In mountainous areas, temperatures will fluctuate between 1–6°C of frost at night and 4–9°C of heat during the day.
The National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan regularly monitors atmospheric conditions to provide early warnings regarding significant pressure changes and wind speeds. Such fluctuations in atmospheric pressure, as seen in the upcoming forecast for Baku, can often influence the physiological state of weather-sensitive individuals and impact maritime operations in the Caspian Sea.
