The weather forecast for September has been released.

The Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the National Hydrometeorological Service, reports that the average monthly temperature in Azerbaijan this September is expected to be near the climatic norm, with some regions experiencing slightly higher temperatures.

Monthly precipitation levels are also forecast to remain largely within the climatic norm. During the first ten days of the month, intermittent short-term showers accompanied by lightning are expected, particularly in mountainous and foothill regions.

The National Hydrometeorological Service provides these seasonal outlooks to assist the public, agricultural sectors, and infrastructure management in preparing for climatic variations. Such forecasts are essential for monitoring seasonal trends and ensuring readiness for potential weather-related impacts across the country's diverse geographical zones.

In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the average monthly temperature is expected to range between 21-23°C, which is near the climatic norm and slightly above by 1°C. Nighttime temperatures are projected at 19-24°C, while daytime temperatures may reach 26-31°C, with some days in the first ten-day period potentially hitting 33-35°C. Monthly precipitation is expected to be near the climatic norm (12-23 mm).

In Nakhchivan city, as well as the Julfa, Ordubad, Sadarak, Shahbuz, and Sharur districts, the average monthly temperature is expected to be 22-25°C, which is near the climatic norm and 1-2°C higher. Nighttime temperatures are forecast at 17-22°C, with daytime highs of 26-31°C, and up to 34-39°C during the first ten days. Precipitation is expected to be near the climatic norm (7-13 mm).

In Khankendi, Shusha, Goranboy, Khojaly, Khojavand, Aghdam, as well as the Dashkasan-Gadabay districts, the average monthly temperature is expected to be 16-19°C, which is within the climatic norm. Nighttime temperatures are projected at 12-17°C, with daytime highs of 19-24°C, and up to 26-30°C during the first ten days. Precipitation is expected to be near the climatic norm (34-50 mm).

In East Zangazur: Jabrayil, Kalbajar, Qubadli, Lachin, and Zangilan districts, the average monthly temperature is expected to be 17-20°C, which is within the climatic norm. Nighttime temperatures are forecast at 12-17°C, with daytime highs of 19-24°C, and up to 26-30°C during the first ten days. Precipitation is expected to be near the climatic norm (29-37 mm).

In the Gazakh, Ganja, Aghstafa, Shamkir, Tovuz, Jeyranchol, Tartar, and Fuzuli districts, the average monthly temperature is expected to be 21-24°C, which is near the climatic norm and 1-3°C higher. Nighttime temperatures are projected at 17-22°C, with daytime highs of 25-30°C, and up to 33-35°C during the first ten days. Precipitation is expected to be near the climatic norm (17-44 mm).

In the Balakan, Zagatala, Gakh, Shaki, Oghuz, Gabala, Ismayilli, Aghsu, Shamakhi, Siyazan, Shabran, Khizi, Guba, Khachmaz, and Gusar districts, the average monthly temperature is expected to be 19-23°C, which is near the climatic norm and 1-3°C higher. Nighttime temperatures are forecast at 14-19°C, with daytime highs of 22-27°C, and up to 30-33°C during the first ten days. In mountainous areas, temperatures will be lower, with nighttime lows of 9-14°C and daytime highs of 16-19°C. Precipitation is expected to be near or slightly above the climatic norm (33-120 mm).

In the Yevlakh, Goychay, Aghdash, Kurdamir, Imishli, Aghjabadi, Mingachevir, Beylagan, Sabirabad, Saatli, Shirvan, Hajigabul, Zardab, Salyan, and Neftchala districts, the average monthly temperature is expected to be 22-25°C, which is near the climatic norm and 1-2°C higher. Nighttime temperatures are projected at 18-23°C, with daytime highs of 24-29°C, and up to 31-35°C during the first ten days. Precipitation is expected to be near the climatic norm (14-38 mm).

In the Masalli, Yardimli, Lerik, Lankaran, Bilasuvar, Astara, and Jalilabad districts, the average monthly temperature is expected to be 19-23°C, which is near the climatic norm and 1-2°C higher. Nighttime temperatures are forecast at 17-22°C, with daytime highs of 24-29°C, and up to 33°C during the first ten days. In mountainous areas, nighttime temperatures will be 13-18°C, with daytime highs of 20-25°C. Precipitation is expected to be near the climatic norm (50-199 mm).
