Heavy traffic congestion is currently being observed on several central roads and main arteries of Baku.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has released official data regarding the current traffic situation in the capital of Azerbaijan.
According to the latest update, traffic density is reported on the following routes:
- Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of the "20 January" metro station;
- Heydar Aliyev Avenue, main road, towards the city center;
- Yusif Safarov Street, towards the city center;
- Tbilisi Avenue, from the intersection with Izmir Street towards the "20 January" metro station;
- Tbilisi Avenue, from the "20 January" metro station towards the city center;
- 1st Gol kanari road, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- Ali Mustafayev Street, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street towards the "20 January" metro station;
- Heydar Aliyev Avenue, secondary road, towards the city center;
- Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue;
- 8 November Avenue, from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street towards the city center;
- Binagadi highway, in the direction of the "Azadlig Avenue" metro station.
Traffic management in Baku is overseen by the Intelligent Transport Management Center, which utilizes advanced monitoring systems to regulate flow and reduce congestion in the capital. Such traffic density is common during peak hours in Baku, as the city continues to expand its infrastructure to accommodate the growing number of vehicles and ensure the efficient movement of residents and visitors across the metropolitan area.
