US President Donald Trump has officially confirmed the successful rescue of the second crew member from an American F-15E fighter jet downed over Iran.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the head of state announced the development on the Truth Social platform, stating: "We got him! I am very happy to let you know that he is alive and well."

The US President noted that US military forces conducted one of the most daring search and rescue operations to extract the pilot. "He was wounded, but he is going to be fine," US President Donald Trump added, highlighting the bravery of the personnel involved in the mission.

Earlier, the Axios portal reported that the pilot was rescued several hours after the aircraft went down. The F-15E Strike Eagle is a dual-role fighter designed to perform air-to-air and air-to-ground missions, and it remains a cornerstone of the US Air Force's tactical capabilities in the Middle East region.

This incident comes amid heightened regional tensions involving Iran. The successful extraction of the crew member is seen as a significant operational achievement for the US military's search and rescue units, which are trained to operate in hostile environments to recover personnel behind enemy lines.
