President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Georgia for a state visit on April 6.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that a guard of honor was lined up in honor of the head of state at the Shota Rustaveli International Airport in Tbilisi.
President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva were welcomed at the airport by Georgia's Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili and other high-ranking officials. Following the official welcoming ceremony, the sides are expected to hold high-level meetings to discuss the strategic partnership between the two neighboring nations.
The visit underscores the deep-rooted diplomatic and economic ties between Azerbaijan and Georgia. As key partners in large-scale regional energy and transport projects, including the Southern Gas Corridor and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, both nations continue to strengthen cooperation in the fields of trade, security, and regional stability in the South Caucasus.
