President Ilham Aliyev has extended an official invitation to King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to visit Azerbaijan.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the President conveyed the invitation during a meeting with Ayman Safadi, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan, who is currently visiting Baku.
During the discussions, the head of state recalled with pleasure his previous meetings with King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, both in Azerbaijan, in Jordan, and on the sidelines of various international events. The dialogue highlighted the mutual desire to further strengthen the bilateral partnership between the two nations.
Azerbaijan and Jordan have maintained friendly diplomatic relations since the establishment of ties in the early 1990s. Both nations frequently cooperate within the framework of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Non-Aligned Movement, focusing on regional stability and economic collaboration. High-level visits between Baku and Amman serve as a crucial mechanism for deepening political dialogue and expanding cooperation in sectors such as trade, tourism, and energy.
