President Ilham Aliyev sends congratulatory letter to Vietnam

President Ilham Aliyev has congratulated the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, To Lam, on the occasion of the country's Independence Day.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the letter states:

"On the occasion of the national holiday of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam – Independence Day, I extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes to you and, through you, to your entire people on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan."

President Aliyev noted that Vietnam has achieved significant milestones in ensuring economic development, improving public welfare, and enhancing its international standing. He emphasized that relations between Azerbaijan and Vietnam are rooted in mutual respect, trust, and friendship. The intensification of high-level contacts and the expansion of political dialogue in recent years have created favorable conditions for broader cooperation.

The letter identifies key areas for potential collaboration, including trade, energy, industry, transport, tourism, education, and humanitarian efforts. President Aliyev expressed his confidence that through joint efforts, the friendship and strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Vietnam will continue to develop, serving the well-being of both nations.

Azerbaijan and Vietnam have maintained diplomatic relations since 1992. Both nations have consistently sought to strengthen their strategic partnership, with bilateral cooperation serving as a vital component of their respective foreign policies in the Eurasian and Southeast Asian regions.
