President Ilham Aliyev has extended his congratulations to US President Donald Trump on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the letter reads:
"Dear Mr. President,
On the occasion of the landmark date – the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States of America – I am pleased to extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes to you and, through you, to the friendly American people on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan.
The United States of America, which declared its independence with the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, two hundred and fifty years ago, has become a symbol of the struggle for freedom, indomitable will, and democracy, giving impetus to the establishment of a new order not only on its own continent but throughout the world. Having traversed a glorious path of development over the past period, the United States is a strong and powerful state in every respect on the global stage today. Thanks to the policy you are pursuing with determination and resolve, your country is achieving numerous magnificent successes, and its leadership, credibility, and high reputation in the international arena are further strengthening.
It is gratifying that Azerbaijan-United States relations have been developing successfully on an upward trajectory in recent times. We highly value the strategic partnership established between our two countries and express our gratitude to you for the great importance and support you consistently provide to the strengthening of our interstate relations. I am confident that the Strategic Partnership Charter, signed in February, which elevates our relations to a qualitatively new level, will provide impetus to the development of our partnership in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and other important areas, alongside traditional sectors such as economy, energy, connectivity, and security.
We also highly appreciate your decisive efforts toward promoting the peace agenda and ensuring sustainable development in the South Caucasus. The results of the historic trilateral meeting held at the White House on your initiative on August 8 last year created a completely new positive atmosphere and situation in our region. Azerbaijan and Armenia are now living in peace and building trade relations. At the same time, I would like to specifically note your country's continuous support for the realization of infrastructure projects serving stability and prosperity in the region, especially the 'Trump International Peace and Prosperity Route,' which will ensure an alternative, reliable, and secure connection between Asia and Europe.

We attach special importance to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation with great potential between Azerbaijan and the United States. I am confident that by fully utilizing this potential and existing opportunities, we will achieve the strengthening of our interstate relations and the further deepening of our strategic partnership through our joint efforts.
