Speaker of Milli Majlis visits Heydar Aliyev monument in Belgrade

Speaker of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, who is currently on a business trip to Serbia, has visited the monument to National Leader Heydar Aliyev located in Tashmajdan Park in the capital, Belgrade.

According to the Press and Public Relations Department of the Parliament, the Speaker laid flowers at the monument to pay her respects. The Operative Information Center-OMM reported that the delegation led by Sahiba Gafarova also visited the monument to the prominent Serbian writer Milorad Pavić, which is situated in the same park.

It should be noted that the monument to National Leader Heydar Aliyev in Tashmajdan Park was unveiled in 2011 with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev. This site serves as a symbol of the enduring friendly relations and cultural cooperation between Azerbaijan and Serbia, reflecting the historical ties that have strengthened significantly in recent years.
