The US Embassy in Azerbaijan has extended its gratitude to the Azerbaijani government for illuminating the Heydar Aliyev Center in the colors of the American flag—red, white, and blue—to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States' independence.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the embassy shared the message via its official social media channels, highlighting the significance of the gesture.
The embassy noted that the initiative was received with great satisfaction and appreciation: "This image is a beautiful symbol of the more than thirty-year history of US-Azerbaijan friendship and a reminder of the progress we have achieved together since August 8."
The Heydar Aliyev Center, designed by the world-renowned architect Zaha Hadid, frequently serves as a landmark for international diplomatic gestures in Baku. By illuminating the iconic structure, Azerbaijan underscores its commitment to maintaining strong bilateral ties with the United States. The US-Azerbaijan partnership, which spans over three decades, covers critical areas including energy security, counter-terrorism, and regional stability, reflecting the enduring nature of the diplomatic relations between the two nations.
