Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated that he does not expect a formal response from Azerbaijan regarding his "strategic agreement" proposal.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Pashinyan made these remarks during a briefing following a government session, where he addressed questions regarding the current state of diplomatic relations between the two nations.

"I think these are simply proposals that should and will be implemented. I do not need a reaction from Azerbaijan. Because when you use the right formula in the right place, it starts to work," Pashinyan noted. The Prime Minister emphasized that the initialed peace treaty, the regulations of the border delimitation commissions, and the ongoing peace process between the countries serve as a response in their own right. He added that Armenia's strategic vision has already begun to yield tangible results in the normalization process.

The peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia has entered a critical phase following the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity. Baku has repeatedly proposed a peace treaty based on five core principles of international law, including the mutual recognition of sovereignty and the delimitation of state borders. The border delimitation commissions of both countries have recently made progress in defining specific sectors of the frontier, a move seen by international observers as a vital step toward ensuring permanent stability in the South Caucasus region. Azerbaijan continues to maintain that the conclusion of a final peace agreement depends on the removal of territorial claims from Armenia's legislative framework.
