Norway and Ukraine have reached an agreement to further deepen bilateral cooperation in the fields of defense and security.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that under the new agreement, joint activities between the defense industry enterprises of both countries will be significantly expanded.
This strategic cooperation covers the following key areas:
- Development of new military technologies;
- Increasing the production volume of defense-related products;
- Organizing the production of Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on Norwegian territory.
This move is expected to make a significant contribution to increasing the military potential of both states and the overall development of their defense industries. The partnership underscores a growing trend of technological exchange between European nations and Ukraine, aimed at enhancing long-term security capabilities and industrial resilience.
Norway has been a consistent supporter of Ukraine's security framework, providing both financial aid and military equipment. This latest industrial agreement marks a transition from direct aid to a more sustainable industrial partnership, fostering innovation in drone technology and high-tech weaponry. Such collaborations are increasingly vital for the modernization of defense sectors in the face of evolving global security challenges.
