Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has released data regarding the current traffic situation on the main arteries of Baku.

According to the information, traffic jams are currently reported on the following roads and streets:

  • Baku–Sumgait highway – in the direction of the "20 January" metro station;
  • Ali Mustafayev Street – in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;

The ITMC advises drivers to use alternative routes where possible and to exercise caution while driving to ensure safety and minimize delays. Traffic management in Baku is overseen by the ITMC, which utilizes a network of cameras and sensors to monitor flow and optimize signal timings across the capital's infrastructure.

Such congestion is typical during peak hours in Baku, as the city continues to expand its transport infrastructure to accommodate the growing number of vehicles in the Republic. The government of Azerbaijan has been consistently investing in new road projects, bridges, and tunnels to alleviate traffic pressure in the capital.
