The Ministry of Emergency Situations (FHN) has issued an official appeal to the public regarding the severe weather conditions expected across the territory of Azerbaijan.

According to information provided by the Ministry to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the National Hydrometeorological Service predicts strong winds, intensive precipitation, snowfall in certain areas, and a significant drop in temperature until February 5. The Ministry advises citizens to stay away from light constructions, buildings, billboards, electric poles, wires, and tall trees during strong winds. The importance of strictly adhering to fire safety rules during windy weather was particularly emphasized.

The Ministry also urged caution when using gas and electric heaters due to the cold weather. Faulty or non-standard heating devices should not be used, electrical networks must not be overloaded, and operating devices should never be left unattended. For those living in mountainous areas, the FHN recommends avoiding travel during frosty and snowy conditions, informing relatives of their movement directions if travel is necessary, and ensuring vehicles are in proper technical condition with sufficient fuel. Residents are advised to stay away from avalanche-prone areas and return home before dark.

In Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Emergency Situations regularly issues such warnings to ensure public safety and minimize risks during seasonal weather transitions. These measures are part of the state's comprehensive disaster prevention strategy, aimed at protecting the life, health, and property of citizens from natural and man-made hazards. The National Hydrometeorological Service continues to monitor atmospheric processes to provide real-time updates to the relevant government agencies and the general population.
