Hail has fallen in the city of Lachin and the Dashkasan district as unstable weather conditions continue across Azerbaijan. According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, as of 10:00 AM on May 14, lightning and intermittent rain have been recorded across most of the country, with precipitation becoming particularly intense in specific areas.

The Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the National Hydrometeorological Service, reported that hail measuring 9-12 mm fell in Lachin between 6:23 PM and 6:30 PM on May 13. Shortly after, small-grained hail was recorded in the Dashkasan district at approximately 7:32 PM. Additionally, strong north-westerly winds were observed on May 13, reaching maximum speeds of 21 m/s in Saatli, 20 m/s in Zagatala and Sabirabad, and 18 m/s in Naftalan.

Significant precipitation levels were recorded throughout the Republic of Azerbaijan, with Gakh (Saribash) receiving 23 mm, while Sabirabad and Shahbuz recorded 13 mm. Such weather patterns are characteristic of the transitional spring season in Azerbaijan's mountainous and foothill regions. The National Hydrometeorological Service continues to monitor atmospheric conditions to provide timely updates for the safety of residents and the protection of the agricultural sector, which remains sensitive to sudden hail and heavy rainfall during this period.
