Iran has not yet utilized its "new generation missiles" in the ongoing conflict with the United States and Israel, according to official statements from Tehran.

As reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM with reference to Sky News, a representative of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a formal statement regarding the country's military capabilities. The official noted that Tehran has so far only employed weaponry manufactured in 2012, 2013, and 2014. Despite this, the production and assembly of advanced missile systems continue in a continuous, 24-hour mode.

The representative specifically emphasized that the deployment of more modern and rarely used long-range missiles is planned for the coming days. This announcement comes amid heightened geopolitical friction in the Middle East, where the IRGC maintains a significant role in Iran's defense and regional strategy. The IRGC, a branch of the Iranian Armed Forces founded after the 1979 revolution, is tasked with protecting the country's political system and overseeing its strategic missile program, which is considered one of the largest in the region.

The potential introduction of newer missile technology marks a significant escalation in the military posture of the Islamic Republic. International observers note that Iran's missile arsenal includes various classes of ballistic and cruise missiles capable of reaching targets across the Middle East. The move follows recent policy shifts in Washington, where US President Donald Trump has maintained a firm stance on regional security and the containment of Iranian military influence since taking office in January 2025.
