The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a formal warning regarding maritime operations in the Strait of Hormuz.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the IRGC released a statement concerning the violation of regulations established for maritime movement through the strait. According to Iranian state media, any vessels or maritime activities that fail to comply with these rules will face significant risks and potential intervention.

The statement emphasized that ships found in violation of the prescribed protocols will be stopped "by force." The IRGC has called upon international shipping companies and maritime insurance providers to strictly adhere to the disseminated notices to ensure the safety and legality of their passage through the region.

The Strait of Hormuz is recognized as one of the world's most critical maritime chokepoints, serving as a primary transit route for global oil and gas supplies. Approximately 20% of the world's petroleum liquids pass through this narrow waterway daily, making its stability vital for international energy security. Azerbaijan, as a key player in the global energy market and a proponent of regional stability, maintains a keen interest in the security of international trade routes and the preservation of maritime safety standards.
