Hikmət Hacıyev: Azərbaycan WUF13-də bərpa təcrübəsini bölüşəcək

Azerbaijan intends to present its extensive experience in the restoration of liberated territories and urban development during the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13). Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, Hikmet Hajiyev, announced this during a speech to representatives of the diplomatic corps at Garabagh University.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, Hajiyev emphasized that Azerbaijan has achieved significant milestones in the reconstruction of areas formerly under occupation. "We are ready to share our experience, discuss the challenges we have faced, and learn about new innovations in the field," he noted, adding that Baku remains keen on exchanging expertise with international partners regarding urban planning and sustainable development.

The World Urban Forum, established by the United Nations in 2001, is the premier global conference on sustainable urbanization. The 13th session (WUF13) is scheduled to take place in Baku from May 17 to 22. This event serves as a critical platform for policymakers, urban planners, and civil society to address the challenges of rapid urbanization and its impact on communities, cities, economies, and climate change. Azerbaijan's hosting of the event highlights its growing role in international urban development discussions following the large-scale "Great Return" program initiated in the Garabagh region.
