Sleet has fallen in the high mountainous areas of Azerbaijan's Kalbajar and Lachin regions as weather conditions shifted across the country. According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, while the weather remained mostly dry in many parts of Azerbaijan, precipitation was recorded in several districts during the night and early morning hours.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reported that precipitation levels reached 3 mm in Guba, while 1 mm was recorded in Ganja, Naftalan, Qusar, Balakan, Shabran, Khachmaz, Zagatala, Sheki, Tartar, Yevlax, Sabirabad, Qubadli, Shusha, Khankendi, Khojaly, and Fuzuli. Foggy conditions have also been observed in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, as well as in Ganja, Goranboy, Naftalan, Shamkir, Balakan, Gobustan, Shamakhi, Khizi, Zagatala, Sheki, Gabala, Oguz, Qusar, Guba, and Goychay, reducing visibility to 500 meters. Strong north-westerly winds were reported, with peak speeds reaching 25 m/s in Kalbajar, 21 m/s in Aghstafa, and up to 20 m/s in Tovuz and Khinalig.

The sudden change in weather is characteristic of the seasonal transition in Azerbaijan's mountainous terrain. The East Zangazur and Garabagh regions, characterized by their high altitudes and complex topography, often experience rapid temperature drops and early snowfall. These weather patterns are closely monitored by the National Hydrometeorological Service to ensure safety and preparedness for infrastructure and transportation in these regions, where extensive reconstruction and restoration work is currently being carried out by the state.
