The First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, held telephone conversations with the Chief of the General Staff of the Republic of Türkiye, Army General Selcuk Bayraktaroglu, and the Chief of the General Staff of the Hungarian Defense Forces, General Gabor Borondi.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Ministry of Defense reported that the discussions took place at the initiative of the Turkish and Hungarian counterparts. During the talks, the parties conducted a detailed exchange of views on military cooperation between the countries, as well as the current regional situation and security issues.

The chiefs of staff specifically addressed the recent attacks by Iranian armed forces' unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) against civilian infrastructure in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan, emphasizing that such actions are a direct violation of international legal norms. Furthermore, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, conveyed through his military attaché in Azerbaijan that his country opposes such attacks and stands ready to provide necessary support. Colonel General Karim Valiyev expressed his gratitude to his colleagues for their principled positions and support.

These high-level military consultations underscore the strengthening of Azerbaijan's strategic defense partnerships within the framework of regional stability. The Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, an exclave of Azerbaijan, remains a critical strategic point, and the international condemnation of recent provocations highlights the growing importance of collective security measures among Azerbaijan and its allies in the Middle East and Europe.
