Twelve supporters of the "Strong Armenia" party, led by Russian businessman Samvel Karapetyan, have been released under house arrest following their detention in a criminal investigation. The Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Sputnik Armenia, reports that the decision was confirmed by the country's Anti-Corruption Committee.

In addition to house arrest, the court has imposed bail and a strict ban on leaving the country as restrictive measures for the accused. Two other individuals who were previously detained in connection with the same case have been released from custody. The legal actions follow the detention of 14 members of the "Strong Armenia" party on April 16, as part of a broader investigation into the alleged giving and receiving of election bribes.

The "Strong Armenia" party, associated with billionaire Samvel Karapetyan, has been under increasing legal scrutiny amid ongoing political tensions in the region. Karapetyan, a prominent figure in the Armenian diaspora in Russia, has frequently influenced political discourse through his business and philanthropic networks. These recent arrests highlight the intensifying efforts by judicial authorities to address allegations of electoral fraud and financial misconduct within the country's political landscape.
