Garabagh FK midfielder Kady Borges has been handed a two-match suspension following a decision by the AFFA Disciplinary Committee.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Brazilian playmaker received the sanction after being shown a direct red card during the XX round of the Misli Premier League in a match against Imishli.

As a result of the serious foul play, the Agdam-based club, often referred to as the "Horsemen," has been fined 1,000 manats. The disciplinary measures also extended to the opposing side, as Imishli legionnaire Diogo Almeida received a one-match ban after being sent off for a second yellow card following a protest against the referee's decision. The regional club was subsequently fined 2,500 manats for the player's conduct and an additional 2,500 manats due to an unauthorized pitch invasion by a spectator during halftime.

Furthermore, Garabagh was ordered to pay 6,000 manats after its supporters used pyrotechnics toward the end of the match. This marked the third such violation by the club's fans during the current season, triggering a heavier financial penalty under league regulations.

The Misli Premier League is the top professional football division in Azerbaijan, featuring the nation's most prominent clubs. Garabagh FK, representing the liberated city of Aghdam, is the most successful club in the league's history and a regular participant in European competitions, including the UEFA Europa League and Champions League. The Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) maintains strict disciplinary oversight to ensure the integrity and safety of the competition across all stadiums in Azerbaijan.
