A person accused of fraud will be extradited from Ukraine to Azerbaijan.
The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office told the Operative Information Center-OMM that following a request from the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, and the submission of required documents in accordance with international procedures, an agreement was reached on the extradition of Azerbaijani citizen Shahlar Qanaat oglu Jabbarov.
Shahlar Jabbarov is accused of committing repeated fraud causing large-scale damage under a criminal case investigated by the Nasimi District Police Department. Consequently, a decision was made to charge Jabbarov under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code. Since he evaded the investigation and went into hiding, an international search warrant was issued against him through the Interpol National Central Bureau in Baku. As a result of operational search measures, he was located and detained in Ukraine.
Currently, the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice is taking necessary measures to bring Shahlar Jabbarov to Azerbaijan. Meanwhile, the Prosecutor General's Office continues close cooperation with foreign partner agencies to locate wanted individuals abroad and ensure their extradition to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
