Azerbaijan releases weather forecast for July

The average monthly air temperature in Azerbaijan for July is expected to be near or slightly above the climate norm in most regions, according to the National Hydrometeorological Service.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that monthly precipitation levels are also projected to be near the climate norm, with some areas potentially experiencing slightly higher levels of rainfall.

The month is set to begin with unsettled weather conditions across the country, including the possibility of intense precipitation, lightning, and hail in certain areas. However, the following two to three days are expected to bring milder, generally dry weather to most districts.

Baku and the Absheron Peninsula: The average monthly temperature is forecast to range between 25-28°C. Nighttime temperatures will likely be 21-26°C, while daytime highs are expected to reach 29-34°C, with peaks of 36-40°C during certain days in the second and third ten-day periods of the month.

Nakhchivan, Julfa, Ordubad, Sadarak, Shahbuz, and Sharur: Average temperatures are expected to be 26-28°C. Daytime highs may reach 30-35°C, with some days seeing temperatures rise to 37-40°C.

Khankendi, Shusha, Khojaly, Khojavand, Aghdam, Goranboy, Dashkasan, and Gadabay: The average monthly temperature will range from 18-23°C. Daytime temperatures are expected to be 20-25°C, rising to 30-35°C on some days.

Jabrayil, Kalbajar, Qubadli, Lachin, and Zangilan: The average monthly temperature is forecast at 19-23°C, with daytime highs reaching 20-25°C and occasionally 30-35°C.

Gazakh, Ganja, Aghstafa, Shamkir, Tovuz, Tartar, and Fuzuli: Average temperatures are expected to be 24-26°C. Daytime highs will generally range from 30-35°C, with some days reaching 37-39°C.

Balakan, Zagatala, Gakh, Shaki, Oghuz, Gabala, Ismayilli, Aghsu, Shamakhi, Siyazan, Shabran, Khizi, Quba, Khachmaz, and Gusar: The average monthly temperature is forecast at 21-24°C, with daytime highs of 26-31°C, occasionally reaching 34-38°C.

Yevlakh, Goychay, Aghdash, Kurdamir, Imishli, Aghjabadi, Mingachevir, Beylagan, Sabirabad, Saatli, Shirvan, Hajigabul, Zardab, Salyan, and Neftchala: Average temperatures are expected to be 26-29°C. Daytime highs will range from 30-35°C, with some days reaching 38-42°C.

Masalli, Yardimli, Lerik, Lankaran, Bilasuvar, Astara, and Jalilabad: The average monthly temperature is forecast at 25-27°C, with daytime highs of 26-31°C, occasionally reaching 33-37°C.

The National Hydrometeorological Service provides these long-term forecasts to help citizens and various sectors, including agriculture, prepare for seasonal climate variations. July is historically one of the hottest months in Azerbaijan, often requiring specific safety measures during peak heat periods.
