Iran executes two individuals for alleged Mossad ties

Two individuals convicted of cooperating with Israel's Mossad intelligence service have been executed in Iran. Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the information was released by the Reuters agency.

According to the reports, the convicts were members of an extensive spy network linked to Mossad and had undergone specialized training abroad. Iranian security services alleged that the individuals were planning to carry out acts of sabotage and provocations within the territory of the Islamic Republic. The agency stated that the death sentences were carried out following confirmation by the country's Supreme Court.

Tensions between Iran and Israel have escalated significantly in recent years, often manifesting in shadow warfare involving cyberattacks, assassinations, and allegations of espionage. Iran frequently announces the arrest and execution of individuals accused of working for foreign intelligence agencies, particularly Mossad.
