Iran will retaliate for the killing of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several high-ranking military commanders in attacks attributed to the United States and Israel.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Ali Nikzad, the Deputy Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, made these remarks during a recent session. He emphasized that the response would be strategic and inevitable.
"This revenge will be carried out at the appropriate time and place, with careful planning, and our enemies should expect to pay a heavy price for their actions," Nikzad stated. He further asserted that uranium enrichment is conducted solely for "peaceful purposes," describing it as Iran's "absolute right and red line." The lawmaker added that Tehran would maintain its cooperation with allied forces in Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq, and Syria.
The statement comes amid heightened regional tensions following a series of targeted strikes against Iranian leadership and military assets. Such rhetoric from high-ranking officials in Tehran often signals a period of increased military readiness among Iran's regional proxies.
