The Iranian Armed Forces continue to maintain strict surveillance over the Strait of Hormuz.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Ali Abdollahi, the commander of Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, made this statement regarding regional maritime security.

Abdollahi stated: "We are doing our best to ensure the security of the Strait of Hormuz and to manage the situation. We call on all commercial vessels and oil tankers to refrain from any transit movement without coordination with the armed forces located in the Strait of Hormuz, so as not to jeopardize their safety."

It was noted that Abdollahi also issued a direct warning to foreign military forces. He emphasized that if the US military, in particular, attempts to approach or enter the Strait of Hormuz, they will be targeted. This statement comes amid heightened regional tensions and follows recent policy shifts under US President Donald Trump, whose administration has maintained a firm stance on maritime security and international trade routes in the Middle East.

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world's most strategically important chokepoints, serving as the primary maritime route for oil exports from the Persian Gulf. Approximately one-fifth of the world's total oil consumption passes through this narrow waterway daily, making its stability vital to global energy markets. Historically, the strait has been a focal point of geopolitical friction between Tehran and Washington, with Iran frequently asserting its right to control the passage in response to international sanctions or military presence in the region.
