Iran has disclosed the details of a 10-point ceasefire and peace plan presented by the United States.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing the Fars news agency, that the primary provisions of the proposal submitted by Washington have been made public.
The key points of the plan include:
- Full cessation of all forms of aggression against Iran;
- Withdrawal of US military forces from the region and a prohibition on attacks against Iran;
- Coordination with the Iranian military for the daily passage of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz for a limited two-week period;
- Lifting of all primary sanctions;
- Lifting of secondary sanctions;
- Annulment of all relevant UN Security Council resolutions;
- Establishment of an investment and financial fund to compensate Iran for damages;
- Recognition of Iran's right to enrich uranium;
- Facilitation of bilateral and multilateral peace agreements between Iran and regional countries;
- Formalization of all obligations through an official UN resolution.
US President Donald Trump previously announced his readiness for negotiations and confirmed that strikes against Iran have been suspended for a two-week period. Furthermore, reports indicate that Iran and Israel have reached an agreement to halt mutual strikes. In a diplomatic move to facilitate the process, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has invited delegations from both the US and Iran to Islamabad for high-level talks scheduled for April 10.
The proposed 10-point plan represents a significant shift in regional diplomacy, aiming to de-escalate long-standing tensions in the Middle East. The involvement of Pakistan as a mediator underscores the international community's interest in securing a stable peace. This development follows months of heightened geopolitical friction and marks a potential turning point in the diplomatic relations between Washington and Tehran under the administration of US President Donald Trump.
